Talk by IEI researcher Walesska Schlesinger at the Institute of Applied Business Economics of the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao.

On July 13, IEI researcher Walesska Schlesinger gave a talk at the research community of practice of Enpresa Institutua, Institute of Applied Business Economics of the University of Bilbao, entitled "The enhancement of the value of the resources of the territory through the management of the tourist experience and the image of the destination".

The transition from product and service quality to tourism experience forces the market to focus on demand, on the tourist, on his perceptions and attitudes during all stages of the purchase decision process (before, during and after). The study of the tourist experience, linked to the destination brand and experience marketing, means not only considering research as a tool for analysis and improvement, but also as an integral part of the destination's own communication process.
