Professors Amparo Cervera, Walesska Schlesinger and Berta Tubillejas -members of the IEI and the SIV research group- together with other members of the project, have participated in the first meeting of the THRIVE Project in Fundão, Portugal on January 27, 2025.
THRIVE is an EU-funded project that seeks to revitalize rural communities by preserving intangible cultural heritage and retaining talent through creativity and digital transformation. With the collaboration of 5 European countries and the Canal de Navarrés as an associated partner, the project seeks to promote innovative strategies, digital tools and entrepreneurial skills to strengthen community resilience and combat rural depopulation.
Following the success of its pilot initiative in Portugal, THRIVE aims to replicate this model in other rural areas of Europe, in particular in Bergamo (Italy), enhancing social cohesion and digital competitiveness without losing local cultural identities.
