UV first in Spain in "Hospitality & Tourism Management" according to the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2022

The University of Valencia has placed five of the disciplines it teaches among the 100 best in the world, according to the prestigious Shanghai Ranking, in its ranking by subject, 2022 edition: Remote Sensing (11), Food Science and Technology (26), Tourism (38), Public Health (51-75) and Physics (76-100).

It is worth highlighting the excellent position achieved by the discipline of Tourism (Hospitality & Tourism Management, in the GRAS denomination), which, at the same time, accredits it as the first in Spain.

Within the prestigious world university ranking known as the Shanghai Ranking, the Global Ranking by Academic Subjects (GRAS), contains rankings in 54 subjects or disciplines belonging to the areas of Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences. The GRAS methodology uses a variety of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure university performance, including research output, quality and influence, as well as international collaboration and potential international academic awards.

To get a better idea of the importance of the positions achieved by the Universitat de València in the world, we should add that this ranking includes more than 1,800 universities, chosen from among 5,000 in 96 countries.
