Tourism Public Marketing Seminar: CITYMARKETING 2015-16

Within the framework of the subject of Public Tourism Marketing (Citymarketing) of the Postgraduate Degree in Tourism Management and Planning, a series of seminars have been organized in relation to the development of Tourism Marketing at the city/destination level.

The speakers have an academic and professional profile offering different perspectives on the application of the Marketing approach in city/destination tourism:

– Strategic planning of tourist destinations in a changing environment. The case of the Balearic Islands. Dr. Joan Garau. UniversitatEs Balears.

– Strategic planning as the central axis of the development of the city of Bilbao: Guggenheim museum as a generator of change. Dr. Iñaki Periañez. University of the Basque Country

– Public-private collaboration: the case of Cofrentes. Mr Miguel Angel Fernandez. Active Spas

– Citymarketing for the promotion of Valencia. Mr Jaume Mata. Valencia Tourism Foundation.

The conferences start on Wednesday, January 20 and take place every Wednesday until February 3 (inclusive) in the Villalonga Room of the Facultat d'Economia.
