Tariff policy is once again gaining prominence under the presidency of Donald Trump, becoming a key axis of his economic and commercial approach. This seminar will reflect on the particular moment in which this tariff escalation is intensifying, framed in the current global context. The main consequences of the strategy adopted will be analyzed, such as the replacement of direct taxes by tariffs or the formula used to apply them. Finally, the impact of this trade policy orientation on both the economy and international relations will be analyzed.
