Tackling climate change from the financial markets

On Thursday 5 November, the seminar "Facing climate change from the financial markets" will be held at the Institute of International Economics (C/ Serpis 29).

The day will take place over the course of one day, in morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning, the session would take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with presentations by the invited speakers; in the afternoon, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., a round table / brainstorming session would take place, with the participation not only of the speakers but also of all those attending the sessions.

The objective of the event is to review the state of affairs regarding the role of the financial markets, from different perspectives, in relation to efforts to mitigate climate change, to learn the points of view of private issuers and investors and of public administrations and to contribute to building scenarios and proposals that contribute to the process, allowing for the transmission of proposals not only to the agents directly involved but to society as a whole.
